We all know that Bangladesh's textile and apparel industry is consistently doing very well in earning foreign currency for the country. The textile and apparel industry has been growing for the last four decades. Therefore, there is a growing demand for skilled textile engineering graduates for the textile and apparel industry. To meet that ever-increasing demand, City University established the Department of Textile Engineering in 2005. Department of Textile Engineering has successfully produced thousands of textile engineering graduates, working in different areas of the textile and apparel industry. The Authority of City University is very conscious of providing quality education to students. City University has its permanent, big, green campus in Birulia, Savar, Dhaka. There are halls of residence for male and female students. There is a big auditorium and playground to conduct co-curricular and extracurricular activities. More efforts are underway to develop the teaching-learning environment of the university. It is expected that competent and skilled textile engineering graduates will be produced from City University to meet the future needs of the textile and apparel industry and relevant industries of Bangladesh.
